\u003cp style=\u0022text-align: justify;\u0022\u003eThe Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion (VPDI) will serve as the University\u0026rsquo;s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer and will be responsible for providing vision and leadership to the diversity, inclusion, and equity efforts of the University. The position will report to the President, serve on the President\u0026rsquo;s Cabinet, and hold a faculty appointment. The VPDI will build, in partnership with University leadership, a clear vision, strategy, and structure for diversity and inclusion initiatives and will serve as the champion and advocate to ensure initiatives come to fruition.\u003c/p\u003e
\u003cp style=\u0022text-align: justify;\u0022\u003eWith Chicago, Vancouver, and online campuses, the VPDI will have a unique opportunity to collaborate across three campuses to move diversity and inclusion initiatives from aspiration to programs grounded in excellence. As each campus has its own identity and culture, the VPDI will be tasked with building relationships across the three campuses and to serve as a bridge for opportunities common and distinct for each campus.\u003c/p\u003e

One important outcome of this initiative is to strategically position the University as an international leader in inclusion in postsecondary education. The development and implementation of the new Center will be an exciting opportunity for an experienced innovative leader who has the vision and collaborative skill to achieve institutional excellence in diversity, inclusion, and equity.\u003c/p\u003e

\u003cli\u003eEstablish and lead the University\u0026rsquo;s new Center for Diversity and Inclusion as a place to consolidate, support, communicate, and guide the University\u0026rsquo;s framework and efforts for diversity, inclusion, and equity;\u003c/li\u003e
\u003cli\u003eDevelop and implement a Diversity and Inclusion Plan for the University that aligns diversity and inclusion objectives with the mission and organizational goals of the University; this newly developed plan will inform the creation of policies and procedures that promote equity and inclusion to include:

\u003cli\u003eCollaboration with all departments to identify strategies to address institutional opportunities related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, including areas of best practice for ensuring a diverse workforce, employee promotion opportunities, training, compensation equity, employee/ student attrition/retention, employee morale, and campus climate.\u003c/li\u003e
