The VP of Capital Management will be responsible for overseeing the company’s capital budget, to include capital funding requests, project prioritization and tracking. The VP will focus on driving process improvements across the organization and implementing innovative solutions to efficiently and effectively manage the company’s capital investments. The role will require intensive cross-functional work with finance and business leaders to develop strategic investment plans and refine business cases, as well as leading a team in providing ongoing analytics around the capital budget and resource allocation. Job Duties Oversee capital strategy and budgeting processes, ensuring capital allocation across the organization aligns with the company’s long-term financial and strategic goals.Provide leadership with up-to-date inventory of capital assets across the organization and current information on asset condition.Lead a team in leveraging financial analysis to identify and evaluate gaps in company performance vs capital allocation.Establish and manage process to efficiently review capital funding requests and ensure alignment with large-scale company plans and initiatives.Provide key analysis and reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors on capital-related initiatives and updates.Manage the annual and multi-year capital planning processes in coordination with the entire Finance organization and business units.Implement standardized process for project identification, formulation, prioritization and approval.Track project progress and alignment with budget, enabling adjustments to project plans as needed with changes in company landscape.Ensure adequate systems are in place and effectively running to track, monitor and store all capital project documentation.Ensure capital processes align with federal and regulatory guidelines.Job Requirements10 years of finance experience in the telecommunications and/or technology industry, heavily focused on capital planning and management.Experience managing billion-dollar capital budgets in a public company setting.Strong experience with business case reviews, project prioritization and capital budgeting.Demonstrated ability to understand project budgets throughout all phases of design, formulation, implementation and delivery.Experience leading long-range and annual budget processes.Demonstrated success driving efficiencies and executing process improvements.Strong analytical, problem solving and quantitative skills.Ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts to audiences of all levels.Demonstrated experience providing executive leadership with ongoing reports and analyses.Strong leadership capabilities with successful track record executing change management.Highly detail-oriented, organized and goal oriented.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA is highly preferred.Experience working with engineering and other technical teams is a plus.
