Are you a Senior QA Engineer or Software Engineer in Test looking for a rapidly-growing well-funded start-up where you will who will design and develop automated tests (and some manual test) across all our products while leveraging best practices? Are you a Senior QA Engineer with extensive experience with browser automation experience, specifically with Selenium? Do you have experience with PHPUnit and Junit? E-commerce companies these days are focused on many more features than just your simple shopping cart and checkout. e-Tailers these days are developing algorithms to personalize your online shopping experience and change the way you shop.
This branded e-commerce start-up, founded by Wharton grads and backed by well-known venture capital firms, has raised $50 million in VC funding to date (in just under 3 years). They are building out their technology department and looking to hire 20 engineers this year. You will be an early team member and have a huge influence on the direction of all things technology-related. Tremendous opportunity for growth, technical challenges, and fun await!
What you will be doing:
Write absolutely amazing code
Write even better tests (manual and automated)
Write flawless documentation
Participate in code reviews, create and practice coding standards
Develop and execute manual and automated test strategies
Conduct unit, integration, regression, functional, exploratory, load, and security tests
What you need:
Passion for quality assurance of various applications, systems, and hardware
Eye for details
Unit testing experience with JUnit and PHPUnit
Browser automation with Selenium / WebDriver
Thorough understanding of frontend technologies: JavaScript, HTML, CSS
Familiarity and understanding of Java, PHP or similar modern programming languages
Solid knowledge of SQL (particularly MySQL)
Demonstrated ability for staying abreast of best practices, new trends, and innovations in engineering quality
Good design taste (even for internal applications)
Ability to work among multiple teams and communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical teammates
A willingness to gain and share knowledge
It would be nice if you have experience with any of the following (but by no means required):
Magento, Kohana, NetSuite, Mule experience
Zephyr, Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence, Fisheye/Crucible, Bamboo) experience
Strong desire to use, support, and commit back to open source projects
