Partner with CIO to implement global and Regional business platforms as appropriate for the GBC and to lead UK specific system needs.Drive operational effectiveness through implementation of agreed global drivers.Keep the GBC business leadership appraised of upcoming market, eCommerce and technology developments and trends. Develop plans to align with and bring to bear relevant changes.Deliver on Aon’s strategic growth and service objectives within the GBC- set challenging short and medium-term goals. Measure, growth, service and business performance; work with the business and finance leaders to support growth in profit and service that will enable Aon to differentiate from competitors.Lead unforeseen operational issues and events effectively and within a timely fashion to reduce risk. Provide support and input to GBC Leaders on material issues arising.Actively handle first line risks, minimising exposure to financial loss, brand damage or data loss.Establish effective relationships with business leaders to ensure operational issues are resolved and key management activities are completed (e.g., HR calibrations).Find opportunities to drive efficiency, improve margin and resource utilisation across the business.Ensure business sponsorship and readiness for change programs within the GBC. Ensure, where responsible, plans are robust, handled and delivered on time, budget and within risk tolerance.Working with the UK Head of Operations, ensure location and utilisation plans are in place and future needs considered and communicated.Ensure appropriate access and use of systems or applications which support our business or produce data that is meaningful to the development of future client or market propositions or solutions.Ensure effective operational resilience and business continuity planning is in place.Accountable for Operations Client Service Delivery, whether handled directly or indirectly. Work with UK Operations Leader and their team to drive service improvement.Work with the GBC leadership, UK COO and Global SL COO to develop, deploy and drive utilisation of new products and solutions, Platforms and Solution Line data needs within the Region.Optimize GBC procurement and travel spend; leverage analytics to find opportunities to support ESG objectives.Ensure that processes, policies, procedures and measures are in place for monitoring and maintaining standards of business conduct consistent with the legislative and regulatory requirements.Responsible for working in accordance with the FCA Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK and corporate policies, including participation in the management.Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.About youYour knowledge and expertise:Stakeholder management, interpersonal skills, and relationship building skills are required for the successful execution of this role.Validated experience in a combination of finance, operations and program management roles working in a matrixed, global organization.Experience leading and driving sophisticated projects to completion.Ability to lead by influence and drive consensus among senior executives as well as lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals.Proven ability to adapt to new environments and lead and inspire change.Ability to lead by influence and drive consensus among senior executives as well as lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals.Strong work ethic, tenacious, solutions-focused problem solver.Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal, ability to communicate complex ideas simplistically.Candour to give honest assessments and valuable advice and counsel as well as maintain confidentiality.Validated leadership skills with demonstrated integrity, ability to be successfully deliver in a highly matrixed organisation and stakeholder management abilities.Excellent analytical, numerical and information gathering skills.
