Aon is looking for a VP of TechnologyAs part of an industry-leading team, you will help deliver innovative and effective solutions that help Healthy Paws continue being the top rated pet health insurance company, which is located in Bellevue, WA.The Vice President of Technology is senior role with the Healthy Paws organization, reporting directly into the business unit COO and President. The position will lead a hybrid internal and vendor/contract technology function of between 25-35 resources across the full application lifecycle development, systems & user support, infrastructure, and data managementAs a member of the unit senior leadership team, the position plays an integral role in the creation and successful execution of business strategy. Strong communication and presentation skills are required, as is the ability to confidently collaborate with external C-suite positions at our carrier and marketing partners. The ability to influence and build strong relationships across the enterprise organization and corporate technology service will play a pivotal role in the overall position’s success. Core responsibilities:Hands on accountability for end-to-end technology delivery, across application and infrastructure support and development, including monitoring and system performance & availability.Continuous evolution of technology/operations organization, adapting skills to meet business demand and opportunities; mentor individuals outside of direct team to foster innovation and promote inter-departmental transparencyJoint ownership of hybrid technology application and business strategic roadmapsDrive Digital Transformation efforts across applications, processes, and operations to improve product distribution and increase customer self-servicePartner with business functions to identify and capture operational efficiencies and collaborate with revenue management to design clientPrioritization and resource management for project/enhancement portfolioTechnology compliance, accountable for completion external technology audit and security reviewsData management—quality, storage, accessibility, reporting, analyticsDevelopment and strengthening of technology resources, mentoring, hands on employee development. Position Requirements:Minimum 20 years in technology roles spanning delivery, strategy, architecture (business, data, digital, information systems, infrastructure), including hands on programming & development.Prior senior IT leadership experience, preferably in an e-commerce environment.Insurance vertical experience, strong familiarity with underwriting, policy management, claims handling technologies and business process.
