Description

The Associate VP, Enterprise Architecture will lead the execution of architecture principals, patterns, standards by managing and directing a team of Enterprise Architects to address and solve business issues. This executive identifies information technology architectures and facilitates architecture development with a clear line of sight to business goals.

Responsibilities

The AVP, Enterprise Architecture participates in governance activities to ensure compliance with enterprise and solution architecture standards. This role ensures implementation of technology standards, creates visibility to enterprise impacts of solutions on operations and financials. This executive provides leadership in developing the organization's technical and architectural staff. Decisions are typically related to enterprise wide or intradepartmental coordination, development and implementation of strategic plans, and business outcomes, and develops and implements strategic plans for the scope of management that are aligned with the Enterprise Business or Technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for creation of Enterprise Technology Strategies for Payer and Healthcare Business lines

Responsible for creation of Technology Strategies for Security, Risk and Privacy related IT Practices

Responsible for architecting, designing, and participating in the delivery of complex technology initiatives in all segments.

Ensuring segment applications and technology target state is aligned with the Humana's business priorities.

Establish Enterprise Architecture governance over Segment development activities.

Communicate and execute Enterprise Architecture practices in solution engineering for Segments.

Nurture a team culture that focuses on customer and service for enterprise architecture activation in segments by focus in high-quality implementations (resilience, data quality, SLA compliance, security, supportability, visibility).

Ensure that the governance of architecture enables delivery teams to build simple, feasible, elegant, and impactful solutions.

Foster a positive work environment, where selecting, educating and activating team members through continuously feedback, mentoring, and coaching is expected. Inspire a high-performing team of architects to develop work products that enables innovation of technology and supports new business capabilities and changing operating models.

Collaborating with product management, business strategy, and segment leadership to define and evergreen technology architecture future state.

Provide Segment feedback to Enterprise Architecture on principles, policies, ad standards.

Lead a team of architects in innovating using technology trends in Healthcare, Insurance, and Consumer Well Being.

Ensures visibility into segment technology debt and champions planning needed to erase the technology segment debt.

Required Qualifications

BS Degree in Computer Science or a related field

10 or more years of technical experience

8 o or more years of management experience

Progressive experience as a senior architect or technical lead in large IT projects spanning multiple enterprise systems

10 or more years design, development, and testing of software applications

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree (or higher education)

Additional Information

Associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster, or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.

Provide proof of applicable exemption including any required supporting documentation
