Against that backdrop, we are seeking an experienced healthcare leader to join our team as Associate Vice President, Home Care Product Management for the Value-Based Division of our Home Solutions organization. This leader will play an integral role in advancing and commercializing Humana's proprietary value-based homecare model(s). The AVP leads all phases of the product life cycle, from inception to introduction into the marketplace, by developing products to meet specific customer needs and achieve specific cost and success outcomes. Once products are launched, he/she will monitor the efficacy of products and use customer and business partner feedback to ensure products are meeting customer needs across each customer segmentation, adjusting products over time to continue to achieve the desired outcomes.
Initially the AVP, Home Care Product Management will partner across the enterprise to build out the organizational competencies of product management and apply those competencies to key aspects of the strategy inclusive of network optimization and advancing aspects of post-acute care. This leader will have the opportunity to advance the shift from traditional homecare services to a more consumer-centric, collaborative approach employing the use of innovative technologies such as AI, robotics and predictive analytics to drive transformative change. This role is a strategic leadership position requiring innovation and collaboration to influence Humana's continued focus on creating additional value for the enterprise, our provider partners, and our members.
This position can be located anywhere within the Lower 48 states.

Key Responsibilities
Oversight and accountability for product organization by setting strategic goals and objectives
Participate in the development of short-term and long-term strategic plans required for ongoing growth and success
Provide thought leadership in the formation of the value-based strategy that moves traditional homecare from a transactional approach to value incorporating decision support, automation, risk management and provider experience
Develop and foster strong working relationships and communication at all levels of the organization.
Problem-solve issues that are barriers to expected operational results.
Develop and regularly communicate key operational metrics that systematically measure performance versus plan against medical costs and trends.
Develop a communication channel that acknowledges performance improvement in the organization
Ensure the highest standards of efficiency and stakeholder experience for clinical service operations and processes.
Proactively build and maintain solid relationships by influencing decision making and ensuring quality and satisfactions standards are met
Develop a comprehensive plan designed to address operational improvement opportunities, including a strategy for market-leading performance
Use data and analytics to inform decisions about what current strategies are producing value for member, provider and Humana
Recruit, hire, develop, and lead a high-performing team of professionals
Key Candidate Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess extensive experience (typically 15 years) and a proven record of success in high-impact product management roles. This person will also have current or recent experience working in a product-centric organization, with a track record of creating new strategies that advance operations. He/she will be a strong manager of organizational talent who actively seeks to build, manage, and continuously improve the caliber of talent in the company. Finally, the candidate will have at least a Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master's degree is highly preferred).

Demonstrated leadership capacity to assume oversight and accountability for the operations of a growing business and the ability to lead and motivate people to achieve agreed-upon results
Strong analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills, with a focus on formulating concise solutions to complex problems, driving disciplined, fact-based decisions, and executing with discipline and urgency
Proven success in partnering with IT to deliver key initiatives, including solutions that leverage advanced technologies, such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.
Product development experience in an Agile environment
Experience in rationalizing a current portfolio and decision making on stop/start/continue initiatives to deliver value
Success in moving from current traditional strategies to new, modified approaches.
A record of success in building a team from the ground up and/or consolidating multiple teams into one
Current or recent experience in a large, highly matrixed company (i.e., Fortune 250), with proven ability to influence leaders and key stakeholders in such an environment
Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with senior and executive level audiences
Exceptional consultative skills that combine a highly collaborative mindset with the ability to stand firm in the face of resistance from diverse stakeholders and SMEs, and win their co-ownership in the outcomes
Solid knowledge of the healthcare industry, including Medicare
