Practice Detail: Ascension Providence Farmington Hills Internists, who joined Ascension Medical Group in January 2016, is a seven-member physician group. The group is comprised of six Internists and one Endocrinologist. Three Internists have decided to retire in 2023. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join a well-established Internal Medical practice and provide medical services to adult patients.

Responsibilities

Position Highlights:

Employed opportunity with Ascension Medical Group

Opportunity to build a practice

Practice is primarily outpatient based

There are 17 support staff in the practice

Office Hours: Monday-Thursday from 8am-5pm and Friday from 8am-4pm

There is a lab in the office for phlebotomy services

Responsibilities:

Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.

Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.

Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.

Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.

Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.

Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Required Credential(s)• Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board of Medicine obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Preferred Credential(s)• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program

• Board eligible/board certified in Internal Medicine

Education• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
