The first advice you usually receive is to network, check with competitors, colleagues and local industries but we are going to assume that this is not working for you. You want to move. You don't want to move. You want to change industries or you don't. For any and all of those reasons employment opportunities in the 6 figure range are hard to find. No big deal, you still have the online search option!
So let's get started, shall we? Most professionals looking for those perfect 100k salary employment opportunities start with are one or two sites that are advertised all over the place and sometimes they just stay there no results no real job openings in their field that suit their salary and skill requirements and we won't even go into location. It's an option that is true but limiting too.
When that happens the driven professional devotes as much time as they have (usually little) to scanning job openings on public and sometimes private sites. Hey, whatever works but usually it is pretty hard to find that right opportunity and there are thousands seeking 100k salary jobs so what do you do? Devote more time you don't have? Give up the search and settle for less than you deserve? Do you take one of those employment opportunities that everyone else has passed over for good reason? The answer is No. No. No. You knew finding 100k jobs would not be easy but if you are really determined you can find the right one.
You probably have your resume posted all over the place by now. Good step, but sometimes the very best jobs don't come to you, instead you go to them. You should make it a point to search every site possible and perhaps even try out a new industry as long as you have the qualifications. International jobs can easily top the 100k mark for very skilled professionals in certain fields but you have to know where to look and be willing to relocate temporarily or long term.
Is location an issue with you? Finding 100k jobs in a certain location is a little trickier but you can include the city or state in your filters on some sites when hunting for job openings online.
Are you receiving a lot of mail from lists you have signed up for but for jobs that don't apply to you or your field or your salary filters? Unfortunately, this sometimes happens the best you can do in that case is to narrow your search filter or if the results are unacceptable over time, remove yourself from the offending mailing list. You don't need inappropriate job openings filling up your inbox and perhaps obscuring real jobs applicable to you.
Good luck in your search. It may take a while and some persistence but the jobs do exist, and if you persevere, filter out the inappropriate and narrow be specific in your requirements, you can be successful in finding a 100k plus job that fits you!
