Are you familiar with 6 figure jobs and are 6 figure jobs what you are looking for today? The truth of the matter is that 100k jobs and jobs over 100K are a lot scarcer on the ground!

If you want to make sure that you are going to get back into the 100k jobs or even the jobs of 100k, you are going to have to do some hustling, and the sooner the better! The first thing that you need to realize is that everyone is pinching the pennies lately and everyone from the grounds crew on up is getting cut. There is no such thing as an essential employee anymore and no matter how good you are, there is a good chance that you might be in a bad place. Whether you are worried about your job security or you are desperately looking for something at the moment, there are a few tips to keep in mind.

The first thing that you should remind yourself is that it is going to be harder to get a job period. This does not mean that you are worthless or that you are in a place where your skills are needed. Times are tough and there are many people who are going after the same job. With so much competition out there, especially for the high dollar jobs, you will discover that you are going to need to do some serious selling and the places where this needs to happen might surprise you. Consider some of the things that you need to look into and remember that lowballing yourself to get back to work is not always a bad thing. When the recession is over, it can put you in a great place.

If you have done any networking for yourself or for any reason at all, you will find that people never stay quiet. With everyone looking for a job and more people talking to each other than ever before, there has never been a better time to keep yourself quiet! Remember that even if the person you are talking to doesn't want the job that you are applying for, their sister or their brother or their cousin might. A lot of people talk about loose lips sinking ships, but it is more than just ships that can get sunk when this kind of thing is going on. Executive jobs or not, this is the kind of attitude that you are looking at right now.

Remember that you should never look desperate. Remember that you should keep tidy and look professional, but don't push yourself too hard. If you want to get into the executive suite again, remember that you should not be a hard sell. They are going to want you and the only thing that might be holding you back is the wage that you commanded! Take some time and make sure that you look as though you are worth what you are asking them to pay. When it doubt, remember that taking a pay cut now can mean recovering it in a year or less. This is something that you need to keep in mind if you are operating in an economy that is not up to snuff!
